Privacy Policy

Goalquake is built to need as little of your data as possible. You can use almost everything without an account.

What we store

• On your device: your language, selected city, predictions, and game state are saved in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device unless you appear on a leaderboard or share a card (see below).
• We do not require your real name, email, or phone number to use the app, and we do not collect them unless you contact us directly. There is no account or login.

Leaderboards & pools

To rank you on the city / country / global leaderboards and in any pools you join, the app sends a small amount of data to our server:

• a random device ID generated in your browser (not linked to your real identity);
• the display name you choose for the leaderboard — this is public, so pick any handle you like and avoid using personal information;
• your points and your selected city (used to place you on the right city/country boards).

That's it — no name, email, location tracking, or device fingerprinting. This data is stored on our hosting provider (Cloudflare) solely to run the leaderboards. To remove yourself, clear your browser's site data for goalquake.com (this resets your device ID) or email us.

Payments

If you buy Goalquake Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.

Third-party services

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Cloudflare — hosting and the database that runs the leaderboards.
• Public football data — fixtures and results are fetched from a public open-data source to show real matches.

Cookies & analytics

Goalquake does not set advertising cookies. If we add basic, privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent.

Children

Goalquake is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Any advertising shown is non-personalized.

Your choices

You can clear all stored data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for goalquake.com. For any privacy request, email hello@goalquake.com.
